Psychodynamic Counselling
A steady place to explore your inner world and reconnect with your self.
There are times in life when something in us wants to be understood more deeply.
Sometimes this comes as struggle or sadness.
Sometimes as frustration, cycles we repeat, or a sense of not quite recognising ourselves or the lives we find ourselves in.
Psychodynamic therapy offers a quiet, reflective space to explore your inner landscape — your history, emotional patterns, and relational experiences — and how these shape the way you live, love and work now.
This is a collaborative, relational process.
We work gently, with curiosity and compassion, to understand your experience from the inside.
This space may be for you if you are:
-
feeling disconnected from yourself, others, or your sense of meaning
-
caught in repeating patterns in relationships
-
navigating difficult feelings, inner conflict or self-doubt
-
wanting to understand where your emotional responses come from
-
longing for a deeper sense of wholeness or authenticity
Counselling for grief, loss and bereavement
A gentle space to explore grief, loss and change — in your own time.
Grief takes many forms — the loss of a loved one, the ending of a relationship, a life chapter closing, or a version of yourself you have outgrown.
I offer a gentle, grounded space to explore the emotional, relational and identity shifts that grief brings. Our work may be short-term, focusing on a particular loss or transition, or it may unfold slowly over time.
This is not about “moving on” or fixing grief, but about finding ways to move forward while honouring what has been lost — learning to carry love, memory and meaning in a way that feels true to you.
This work may be supportive if:
-
you are grieving someone who has died — recently or long ago
-
you are adjusting to a major life transition or ending
-
your emotions feel complex, contradictory, confusing or overwhelming
-
you feel others expect you to be “moving on”
-
you sense that grief is reshaping your identity or relationships
-
you want to make meaning of your experience, not suppress it
Seasons of change
shorter-term sessions for deep reflection
For the moments when life no longer fits in the ways it used to.
There are times when we sense something is shifting inside us — even if the outer details of life look the same. You may find yourself questioning old roles, old identities, or the direction your life has been moving in.
It can feel unsettling, tender, or quietly urgent.
It can also feel like a beginning you can’t yet name.
This offering provides a steady, reflective space to explore where you are now and where your inner life may be calling you. Together, we take time to understand what is changing, what wants to be released, and what is ready to emerge.
This is a short-term, reflective process — usually 6 to 12 sessions — though we can work more briefly or continue longer if needed.
This space may be supportive if you are:
-
navigating midlife or identity transition
-
sensing a shift in your values, purpose or priorities
-
feeling a desire for something more real, meaningful or aligned
-
exploring endings, beginnings or creative renewal
-
feeling “in between” who you were and who you are becoming
What to expect
Finding the right therapist matters — it’s important that you feel safe, understood, and able to explore openly.
Our first step is a free, 15-minute introductory phone call, where you can share what’s bringing you to therapy and ask any questions about how I work. This helps both of us get a sense of whether we feel like a good match.
If you’d like to continue, we’ll arrange one or two initial sessions. In this time, you can talk about what feels important right now — whether grief, a life change, or relationship concerns — and we can think together about which approach may best support you.
If we decide to work together longer term, we’ll agree a regular weekly time.
Sessions are 50 minutes
