A space to pause, reflect and discover what comes next
Perhaps life looks fine from the outside, but something inside you is asking for more.
I offer thoughtful, depth-oriented counselling for women navigating midlife, change, loss and the questions that arise when the life you’ve built no longer quite fits.
A quiet space to explore who you are now, what matters to you, and what you want the next chapter of your life to hold.
My work is rooted in psychodynamic counselling, which means we don’t simply look at what’s happening today. Together, we can explore the experiences, relationships, patterns and inner conflicts that have shaped you—and consider whether they still belong in the life you’re living now.
I also draw on creative and reflective approaches, including therapeutic writing, imagery and dreamwork, when these feel helpful.

Relationships & recurring patterns
Understanding how earlier experiences may be influencing the way you relate now.
Loss & grief
Finding a way forward when something—or someone—important has been lost.
Meaning & direction
Making space for questions about purpose, fulfilment, creativity and what you want from the years ahead.
Hello I’m Alexandra
I’m a psychodynamic counsellor, therapeutic writing practitioner, mindfulness teacher. I came to counselling after a life of my own changes and transitions, retraining in my 40s.
I know that asking for help can feel vulnerable. My role isn’t to judge, advise or tell you what to do, but to offer a thoughtful, compassionate space in which we can explore what’s happening beneath the surface.
I’m particularly interested in the questions that arise in midlife: identity, relationships, meaning, creativity and the possibility of becoming more fully yourself.
About my practice
I am a BACP registered Psychodynamic counsellor. I hold a PG Dip in Psychodynamic Counselling, a Practitioner Certificate in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes and have extensive specialist training in grief and loss.
My private practice is set in a shepherd’s hut in Leigh, Worcestershire, close to Malvern and Worcester. Surrounded by countryside, it offers a peaceful retreat from the busyness and distractions of everyday life.
It’s a warm, welcoming and confidential space, with time to slow down, think, talk and perhaps see things from a different perspective.
Time away from the demands of everyday life in a peaceful, private setting where you can focus entirely on yourself.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before your get in touch.
We can have a short, informal conversation about what’s bringing you here, what you’re hoping for and whether I might be the right person to help.
