Alexandra Stevenson BSc(Hons) MBACP
Hello, I’m Alexandra
I’m a qualified and experienced psychodynamic counsellor working with adults in Worcestershire.
I’m passionate about working with people who are navigating the unique challenges of midlife. I’m committed to providing a therapeutic environment where you can explore your inner world, gain insight into unconscious patterns and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
I offer a safe, relational and non-judgmental space for you to explore and reconnect with your true self, to your dreams and aspirations.
I am a calm and compassionate person and I feel deeply privileged to hear people’s stories, witness and walk beside them on their journey through all that life brings.
I’m in my 50’s and I’ve experienced my own unique set of challenges, ups and downs, tragedies and heartbreaks, successes and blessings. I’ve had a varied career, first in ecology and conservation, later in nutrition and in my 40’s I retrained in psychodynamic counselling. I see life as an ongoing process of learning and growth. I love to read and learn, I’m currently studying for an additional training in Jungian psychotherapy. I enjoy walking and spending time in nature, I can often be found up on the Malvern hills.
Alongside my private practice, I also work for a charitable counselling service seeing clients with a range of issues and concerns.
I am also a trained meditation and mindfulness teacher and I integrate the practice of mindfulness and mindful self-awareness into all of my work.
My compassionate, professional approach is combined with experience and a commitment to seeing you achieve all that you can be. It’s never too late to achieve the life you really want.
