Psychodynamic counselling and therapy for adults
I work with individuals facing a range of emotional difficulties such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, bereavement and low self-esteem. I also support those who are seeking self-development, personal growth, a deeper sense of identity and purpose or exploring spirituality and meaning in life.
Psychodynamic therapy offers a holistic approach, working with you to alleviate the issues you are struggling with but also looking beyond the surface symptoms to address the root cause. The exploration of how relationships and experiences in our past may be unconsciously influencing our present can bring relief and sustainable improvements in emotional wellbeing and quality of life.


How can counselling and psychotherapy help?
Counselling and psychotherapy provide the space and time to think and talk about your life in a way that can be uniquely empowering.
It’s a confidential space where you can share thoughts and feelings that you may find more difficult to discuss with friends or family. Therapy sessions give the opportunity to talk with someone professionally trained, who can be objective and is separate from your life and those close to you.
Therapy offers the space to explore your past and how it has impacted you, to look at your life now and where you may be feeling unhappy, unfulfilled or stuck and to think about what you want from your life, your work and your relationships.
By facing where you find yourself now, therapy can help you to connect with your self again, decide what you want to change and support you to move forward with clarity and purpose

My Approach
My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, which delves into the underlying issues that may be influencing your current thoughts, feelings and behaviours. By exploring your past experiences and their impact on your present, we can uncover insights that lead to deeper self-awareness and lasting transformation.
Psychodynamic counselling is open-ended, which means I provide a space for you for as long as you need it. This may be for a few months, focussing on a specific issue, or for longer term therapy working with your unique circumstances and experiences.

Whether you are facing life transitions, emotional difficulties, or seeking deeper self-understanding, my practice offers a holistic approach that goes beyond symptom relief, focusing on long-term, lasting transformation.
